    Trailing Arm Bush moves

I knew the ball joints on my cross member needed changing, and to get at the ones on the hubs, I pulled off the Trailing arms. They seem tight in every way except if you put a bar on them and force sideways they will slide sideways (Not a lot of force either) I don't know if this is normal but it doesn't seem that way to me? Seems I may be ordering new bushings.

I am just about ready to drop the rear subframe/suspension on my car so I can change out all of the bushings, wheel bearings, and clean and repack cv joints. I need to disassemble one more emergency brake assembly, and then, hopefully, I can get all of the subframe bolts loose, and get assembly balanced on a floor jack so i can remove it as a complete unit.

Maybe I should have dropped the rear subframe. Started out changing the 4 ball joints on the lower support arm and noticed the front trailing bar bushings didn't seem right. With the trailing arm off, the upper control arm was easier to see/move. Their ball joints rock easy, too easy. As it only takes a minute at this point , I took the Right side off . The ball joints themselves are fine, the rubber seals are long gone. For a bit it was a toss up off between leaving them in there until the dirt gets in and destroys them or biting the bullet again and ordering new ones. Probably ordering new ones as a 4 wheel alignment won't be cheap and I might not notice a problem until something else is destroyed. Now I really am looking hard to see if anything else is doubtful. The lower arm joints weren't too bad to do in place so I don't see a problem taking the one upper on the wheel carrier out. I have read here "if one is gone, the rest aren't far behind" and it seems to be right in my case.
Wouldn't hurt so much if mission creep hadn't already moved my parts spend from a $100 job for upper pan gasket to $1400 for front & rear suspension parts, brakes and upper engine gaskets. Still need a MID repair, alignment and now upper control arm joints. Oh yeah, and can now see my transmission pan is leaking also.

Next winter I am going to drop my entire rear suspension for a rebuild. Most rubber pieces I have found on my car have been rotten. If you have oil and transmission leaks if makes them worse.
