Hey Guys!
So I have kinda ran into an "issue" that I wanted to hear some knowledgeable peoples' opinions on. A few friends and I are looking to race in the 24 hours of lemons, and decided we want to try to get an e30 for our cheap car. So, locally I know someone reputable who is willing to sell me a 87 coupe 325i auto shell and a manual 87 convertible with complete drivetrain for $1000, granted he can gets the convertible shell back after we take the drivetrain. I'm pretty familiar with the E36 chassis and have done manifold swaps, CSB/Flexdisc, and a lot of general maintenance so I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but I've never done anything like a complete drivetrain swap. Obviously the resources online are plentiful, and I can definitely get the help I need if I asked around, but I was wondering what you guys thought of something like this. Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

its an easy swap. I helped my son do his 86 325e to all 89 325i stuff, including auto to manual swap.
No e30s again.
