Never would have thought I’d go fix back but it’s super comfortable and super low seating means helmet fits great

With the wheel/tire combo I am running have to keep the back end up a bit high but gives it a sweet rake. Downside back end looked naked so had to change that

Also finally go this thing to the dyno pretty happy with the numbers considering its still on a remote tune.

As winter has hit Blue is in storage while I work on some other cars/projects but started collecting the next upgrade. Rabid Engineering has designed a adapter to run a s54 itb kit on a e36 engine. Hoping next couple months get this on with new fuel system and than get a custom dyno tune. 300 wheel is the goal

interesting ITB setup.. Does anyone support tuning for that? Also, what are the wheel/tire specs of your arc8?
Love this thread!

Wow cool ITB setup. Interested to see how it works. That RHD tuning ITB setup for our motors doesn’t do shit, so it would be cool to see something that does.
Kassel has said he can tune it but would need to be on a dyno so booking that early next year. arc 8 17x9 plus 32 245/40/17 re71r
Also thanks man always wanted to document this build when I started.
Exactly thanks man
Yeah exactly guy who made the adapter plate proved that there runners are off and designed to give a little mid range if anything and build quality isn't the best. Will let everyone know the results

How are things going with the ITB Conversion?
I wouldn’t let Kassel tune my toilet... those guys don’t know shit about tuning S54 or anything else. Their idea of “tuning” is to lock the timing advance to 25* and desensitized the knock sensors and run rich.. don’t let them touch your car

that, and they rebuilt a an S54 VANOS for a friend of mine.. "professionally rebuilt" according to them... yeah.. got it in his car and its power would fall off at about 6k rpms... pulls it apart and they put the switched the VANOS gears inside, exhaust was on intake and intake on the exhaust... and then they wouldn't own up to what they did. he's a member here on this board too.

Well its never done lol but with the itbs no. Have had another e36 build in my garage last couple months and waiting on throttle linkage which is due in this week. Hoping to finish this project next couple week than get the m3 back home swap everything on and book a dyno day for a re tune. Soon

How did you hear about the ITB adapter from Rabid? Are they local to you?

The hype is real.
The GRP light seat is a good choice. I've used them for several years.
Love the build man, my pops just gave me his e36 after some idiot ran a stop sign and totaled my 2003 mb sl500. He “renewed” the e36 engine and it’s running smooth, but needs to still pass smog. It’s an old engine about 180k miles on it, but I’m planning on taking really good care of her. I had a few questions. Since it’s a pretty old car I’m sure she lost some horses from the original 240, but is there any easy mods without major changes to give it a few horses maybe 270-280. I read about an intake manifold and cold air intake for easy horses. I don’t wanna s/c it as it seems the chassis wouldn’t be able to handle it without investing $$$ to reinforce it. I’m honestly not too experienced in the tuning field but I would love to hear your thoughts as ur m3 looks super niceee.
Hey man just getting into the e36 game I'm looking for apex wheels. I am doing the 996 brake kit and am just checking around.
