Seen some clean rotors & calipers on new BMWs

Seen some clean brake dust free rotors, calipers, and wheels on newer BMWs. The cars have been driven. I don't believe they use ceramic pads, as they are for racing. These were non-M/Dinan cars.

Anyone know what kind of pads they are using? Are they available for E46?

I have akebono pads and zimmerman/meyle rotors on my e90. Much cleaner than originals. Will do my e46s similar if thats what you are looking for.

These are 5, 6 & 2 series. I would say they are a year or so old.

Brakes are always a tradeoff— you can either have great brake feel and heavy dusting or less brake feel and no dust. Most general-use pads are somewhere between the two. Akebonos are great for low dust but have a pretty poor pedal feel, so while they're fine for daily driving they're not exactly confidence-inspiring with hard driving.

Now with the new carbon ceramic setups on new BMW's and Porsches, you get the lower dust and longer life but with light weight and excellent stopping power, but they can be quite noisy and are extremely expensive to replace.

Ive been installing ceramic pads on E46's for years. In a daily driving application the braking difference isnt noticeable and the lack of dust is unreal.

For daily driving situations the difference in pad bite is negligible,
AKEBONO EURO CERAMIC!! = CLEAN WHEELS!
