Im building a 96 328 with a s52 motor fully built. Over bored by 30mm cp pistons lowered 10.1. Eagle rods/ARP bolts, Cut rings head gasket. 264/256 cams/ 3angle valve job AA headers custom 3" Borla exhaust. Vac under drive pully, UUC short throw shifter kit, ignition solution coil pack, deleted clutch fan, M3 subframeĺ, CEC silver guage, C38-92 with custom intercooler set up. OBD1 manifold, BBK 75mm tb ect. Would like to know who is running the C38-92 Set up and the #s youre getting to the wheels @what boost. Thanks
E85 is awesome for forced induction if you have it available locally and run an E85 tune. If 93 pump gas, I am not sure you would break 500 rwhp. If 91 pump, even less. Meth injection helps, especially with tuning for it.
Wicked!! What pully was he running? I was saying about 460ish to the wheels but this puts a new light in my view 😁

Im not running E85 but meth injection with 93 octain

Im also running AA 12lbs flywheel and AA clutch package. I heard some guy was putting down 575 + to the wheels with E85 fuel & about 17psi
On 93 pump plus meth, I’d say 500 rwhp SAE Dynojet on an S52 with cams at 18 psi if you do everything right. Let us know what you get. When you get bored, and you will if you like power, go turbo.
Lol kool. I dnt think bored with this project. We had a toyota club back in the days running 1000 plus hp supras just want something a little more tame lol. My friend sean ivey want me to turbo as well so does mike Rodulsky not sure how to spell his last name lol a friend of mine currently making over 700 plus to the wheels in his e36. Im 52 right now so im good with 450 to 500 wheel. After im done with this project the next is my 95 C36 AMG
I'm running a C38-92 setup, see my sig for all mods, and I love it. I'm only running 10 psi on 93 octane, but plan to add meth and bump it up to 14 psi. My dyno numbers at AA in over 90 degree Miami heat and humidity were 392 whp. He had it as high as 400 whp, but said the IAT's were getting too high so he dialed it back. Better a safer tune than trying to squeeze every last hp. AA uses a Mustang Dyno. Per Karl at AA, E60 M5's put down right around 385-390 whp on their dyno. They also had an HKS SC setup they did put down 387 whp on their dyno, they then took it down the street to a local shop to see what it would do on a dynojet and it put down 438 whp. So my guess is I would be just over 440 whp, and with meth and 4 more psi, maybe knocking on the door of 500 whp on a Dynojet, and maybe 450-460 whp on AA's Mustang Dyno. It's plenty fun now and revs out the gears quickly, but I just feel like I went through all the trouble of getting the C38-92 blower on an E36 and under utilized the blower.
I posted a thread if interested, amazingly photobucket appears to be allowing links back to photos hosted off their site so you can see the dyno sheets as well. I don't think you will be bored with this set up at all unless you're always chasing power. If you're always chasing power, you get bored with both the SC and Turbo setups because you're always chasing more psi and more power.

Current with 85mm pulley and meth: 450 whp 365 wtq @ 13 psi on a Dynojet at Performance Eurowerks in Buffalo Grove, IL.
Previous: AA Mustang Dyno Tuned in Miami, FL @ 10 psi on 93 pump made 392whp 325wtq (Performance Eurowerks Dynojet in Buffalo Grove, IL was 410 whp and 325 wtq @ 10 psi)
Get the meth and run 14 psi. 500rwhp SAE Dynojet on pump plus meth at 14 psi would be a record but maybe you can get close. If you are really going for it, I’d drop compression a little so you can safely run more boost.
The great thing about turbos is that you don’t run into drive belt limitations or IAT problems or blower capacity issues. It’s the much easier route to more power. And if you want, you can make power that centrifugal E36 owners can only dream about. But not everyone chases power — some are content with the first round of mods.
I definitely will do the meth and 14 psi, I guess 18 psi is max but don't want get into lowering compression. 14 psi will be a happy medium where the blower isn't maxed out, but it's not so under utilized like now. I don't believe I'll see 500 whp, but it should be close and that's good enough. If I'm at roughly 440 whp Dynojet, I should be 480 whp or so with meth and an additional 4 psi. It will be knocking on the door and that's good enough. As mentioned before, and I still haven't been 'pushed to the dark side', I don't want that serious power. 600 whp or 700 whp plus is not what I'm looking for with this car. I don't think this chassis is ideal for putting down that kind of power. I love the way the power comes on in a linear fashion, love that as you rev it just gets stronger. To me that's how an E36 M3 is supposed to be.

I would not go over 14 psi without dropping CR. I kept it at 13-14 psi with 93 plus meth but that was years ago and tunes should be better now. I later used an 0.098 MLS for 16 psi. I know people who ran 18 psi with a 0.140 MLS. And people who ran 14+ on E85.
Meth is not 100% reliable or safe unless done very well. Like with a flow sensor, individual port, braided lines, etc. otherwise I would not risk my motor tuning for it and would instead just use it for safety.
Karl was saying the same thing, no more than 14 psi without dropping compression. My plan was to either go with AA's meth kit which they say will be safe to tune to 14 psi, or contact MaxPsi and see what they could offer and possibly have a Nick G tune. Either way the car would be sent for a dyno tune in person.
Maaan thats what im talking about. When i had the 38-81 I made 352/w on aa Dyno in 06 @10psi and the amazing thing about it my motor wasnt healthy. When pressure test was done my highest C:P:R was 9:5:1 with blow by. My set up its a little different from AA. Shorter ic piping apexi inter cooler with inlet & outlet piping on one side so it keep the boost up. Now with the 38/92 already seeing 12psi and the car is not tunes & just changed the woodruff pin on the crank after i discovered it was slipping. Stories like this have me soo pumped lol. Thanks for sharing bro. Ill keep u guys posted. I wish i knew how to add pictures here
My C:P:R is 10:1 & 30mm over bored cp pistons/ eagle rods. VAC stiffer springs with 264/256 cams 3angle valve job with lower valve seating increased the flow a bit.
Im just loving all these postings! I was just looking for 450 to the wheel. Im using an 85mm pully BBC with a 75mm on standby. I did lowered my piston to 10:1 CP pistons/30mm over bore so my tq will b even more than the stock 10:5:1.
