Third owner selling pristine BMW 540iT Touring (wagon) E39 with 185K miles, complete service records, unmodified and super maintained. The only additions are a strut tower brace, exhaust tip, iPhone USB input, $1000 subwoofer, and professional window tint. Looks and runs like almost new. I am a lifetime BMW club member and have won three concours events with my cars. No dealers or brokers please, no joy rides. Color is Sterling Gray over black leather. Oil and filter just changed. Original window sticker from Bellevue BMW was nearly $60,000. Local Seattle car. Automatic transmission, many airbags, moonroof, power heated seats, much more. Front and rear bumper covers replaced from small scratches using 100% OEM parts. This is my 9th BMW and my third E39. I am selling it because my teenager is starting to drive and I would like to get him a more "modern" car with more electronic safety systems. This Touring is a pretty rare car - one of 370 imported to the USA that year.

• leaky SLS solenoid causes drivers side rear corner to lower when parked. Works perfectly when driving
• replacement BMW OEM windshield made rain sensor for wipers inactive - now just works as normal + intermittent mode
• slow drip from transmission rear seal
• right side front brakes will soon need service

Some of the recent work performed:
At 185K miles the oil was changed, a rear seat belt receptacle, and a rear parking sensor were replaced
At 171K miles the timing chain tensioner was replaced
At 167K miles the radiator, hoses, and thermostat were replaced
At 164K miles the trans fluid was changed (at the same time the oil was changed, the tie rods replaced, rear brake pads, and 4 wheel alignment)
At 158K miles the starter motor was replaced - I think the timing chain and guides were done at this time
At 143K miles, the camshaft position sensor was replaced, and intake manifold gaskets, power steering pump, A/C tensioner pulley
At 136K miles the shock mounts, struts, sway bar links and shocks were replaced
At 121K miles the rear driveline (CV joints) were replaced
There is much more in the documentation prior to this mileage.
Oil changes approx. every 5K miles.
