    using a Foxwell 520

    Hello all
    I have purchased a new scan tool the foxwell 520pro . When using a foxwell diagnostic tool do I need to use the obd2 app which is installed in the unit to see engine sensor issues or will they show up if I use the bmw app which is also installed .
    I dont believe I have any engine faults currently with the car but thought it would be worth a engine scan .
    Ive used the bmw app to do a full scan but am unsure if this included the engine . Nothing showed as engine related in the results . Seemed to be more a scan of all other control modules .
    Thanks to all who can help .

    I may have worked this out

    Ive done a test now using the obd2 app and its lead me to these pages shown in attachments. I believe this is all related to engine management .
    .Can anyone explain the significance of the $12 and $18 modules shown in the pics .
    when they are opened in the app they appear to be the same . When clicked on these lead to quite comprehensive diagnostic pages shown in picture 3 .
