I purchased a 2016 X3 Diesel from a used car dealer in Seattle. After research found the vehicle had originally been sold in Canada as a Canadian model. Evidently the process to certify for US is very easy. My question is per the dealer the vehicle had the remaining factory warranty but I want to insure that the Canadian warranty is actually good in the US. Looks like I have about 9 months left. Appreciate any help.

The Canadian and US 4/50 warranties are indeed identical. As long as you go to the website and register the vehicle as being in the US, the VIN will show up in US DCS databases and be afforded the same 4/50 factory warranty as US-sold vehicles.
