Hi all,
Hopefully someone can help me with an alignment issue on my 2011 335d. I have had it aligned at several different places several times but it continues to feel "twitchy" at 80 mph. It doesn't feel like the back end follows the front properly in turns. When I first got this car I was amazed at how great it felt on the road in any condition. Now, I don't feel comfortable driving it. The car has 90k miles on it and (knock on wood) hasn't been in any major accidents.
So, here are my questions: first, I am wondering if the heavier diesel 3 series cars have different alignment specs than the lighter gas engine 3 series. Second, could this be caused by worn struts and is that possible at 90k? How much is this affected by the tire choice?
Thanks,
Joe
There are no special specs for the diesel.
A common culprit is too little toe in or toe out, poor tires, or possibly bad thrust arm bushings.

Thank you for the feedback. I can't exactly figure out what is going on. Sometimes when they align it they get it right and other times it does this. I was hoping it was because there were different specifications. I am running the Bridgestone Driveguard run flats.
This is what they say it is now
L R
Front Camber -0.6 -0.3
Front Toe 0.11 0.11
Total Front Toe 0.23
Rear Camber -1.6 -1.6
Rear Toe 0.16 0.16
Total Rear Toe 0.32
I will have the thrust arm bushings checked.
Thanks,
Joe
