Question to people that have completed e36 sikky ls1 swap

Having some issues fitting the motor in without headers even. If you've completed the sikky swap please help a brother out.
Did you have to hammer the transmission tunnel?
Please post a photo of motor mounts installed if possible.
I'm using the mounts just like in their guide but nothing lines up.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ES_4pSKOoOk.
If i were to flip the mounts the motor sits way crooked off to the drivers side and requires MAJOR hammering of drivers side to fit(in sikkys guide you have to hammer passenger side). I'm not sure if i want to proceed with this step just yet.

    Something does not look right.

What does Sikky say about it - the video is pretty clear on the issues.

I'm a believe in the Kovach mounts...near bolt in, but obviously you already progressed.

They said flip the mounts but that's not like what they have in their guide. In their guide the longer mount is on the drivers side as I have it. If i flip the mounts the engine sits crooked off to drivers side and i can't even put in the passenger side mount. And it needs A LOT A LOT of hammering to drivers side.firewall/transmission tunnel to make it fit. And I could be wrong but I've never heard of anybody hammering the transmission tunnel to swap ls1 into e36. I want to make sure I'm doing it correctly before I destroy my trans tunnel.
I'm under impression that the mounts i got are negative image if you will. Thats why I'm trying to see if anyone have photos of their mounts installed.

The firewall most definitely does not and should not need modification - that would actually render the car illegal in Formula D (their entire business caters to drifters). Something is definitely wrong.

You can’t use a 4cindee hole for a 6 and vice versa, you’d clock the bushing nearly .5” to another position.
Using the outer holes as per sikky manual. But ill try the inner it will give more clearance i spoze..

I tried using inner hole, it still doesn't fit.
Does anybody know someone on this forum who used sikky mounts perhaps? So I can try and contact them for photos.
    Thank you.

Hi Daniils, I have the Sikky mounts in my M Coupe, which are the same as E36. The car is not entirely done but I can get photos for you.

I can say right off the bat that your mounts look...bad. They don't look right at all and look poorly machined. Mine fit really well although I do not have the headers in yet.

Machining was perfect but they didnt send me the allen bolts but regular bolts instead, with their design I had to angle grind some parts of the mount to be able to fit a wrench there. That's why it looks so shitty, function>form for this feller.
I'd greatly appreciate the photos. Thanks.

Thanks a lot. My mounts don't even look like that, both are offset. Hopefully after i send them these photos they'll send me proper ones.

Shameless plug here. I am running the Sikky engine, trans, driveshaft. I just mocked up my motor last night and I say fitment is 10/10 once installed. Leave the 4 mounting bolts from the mount to the block loose and tighten everything once it’s in the car sitting on the subframe. It’s kinda a pain in the ass but the motor sits as far back as possible and is dead center in the engine bay!

Follow me on Instagram for pics! Good luck with your set up

Updated: finally updated my photobucket... heres a pic with the 6.0L mocked up in the car. Fitment is really good, engine is dead center and sits as far rearward as possible. Will be going with forward facing turbo headers, aftermarket steering shaft, and getting rid of the brake booster/ABS

Sent the mounts back, they acknowledged that there is something wrong with my mounts. Hopefully I'll get the proper ones soon.
