Hello, I was thinking about buying a 2008 BMW 750Li. The car has 140k miles and is selling for 5k. I've seen the car in person and it is in phenominal conidition. I got the car checked out and everything looks good. I'm aware that it'll cost about 3k a year (mainly breaks and tires) but I think it's worth it. Anything I should know about the car?
You won't need 3k a year in brakes and tires. But 3k a year is likely for other repairs. Fluid leaks, electronics, etc. I can guarantee you it is leaking from every orifice including the valve stem seals, unless they've all been repaired already. There's a reason you can buy a $100k car for $5k.

Keep it simple; get the CarFax Report; see what the maintenance history is on the Vehicle. If It has not had the Level 1 and Level 2 Maintenance done on it; be prepared to spend about $1500 to get it in proper shape before you even look at Valve Cover Gaskets; Alternator and Rear Axle Seals.
