    E36 haters pt 4, 1000whp isnt enough.

Before we start with the bad news, here is a quick recap of my 2018 slipstream season

Well on to the bad news, for those of you who follow my build on fb or IG, you know that a few months ago the ol non vanos head split a 2 piece valve on the exhaust side in cylinder 1 and ended my season with a bang, ruined my built bottom end, destroyed the head, damaged the turbo manifold, and went through my 7675 gen 2 Dbb turbo making it an expensive paperweight.

So i guess this is the rush to tx2k19 build thread.

Pulled more weight out of the car, but some more is going in, sold off the driveline and upgrading to a 3.15 210mm, havent had an issue with the 2.93 188mm but its time to step it up.

Also ive decided to build 2 engines at once, one 84.5mm and one 85mm, both with m52 crankshafts, heavy duty wrist pins, and eagle rods.

If I have to swap a 1200hp engine every winter, thats fine, for the level of abuse the car sees this is very little to me for peace of mind.

    T56 magnum, with the 2.97 1st gear.
    Custom 78mm turbo
    276/276 cams.
    Supertech valvetrain
Custom intake manifold with 90mm throttle body
    Custom 4.5 inch vibrant intercooler

Should be rolling together in the next few weeks, I'm looking to have the engine assembled and dropped in by this weekend.

Always fun seeing what you’ll do next!

How difficult is the t56 magnum swap? What all is involved?

Pretty cool! You are going to have a very tall 1st gear with the 3:15 rear and 2.97 1st.

Looking forward to seeing how you like it.

Strange how one skinny little valve can have such an effect on a build. I can’t wait to see your results.

I’m putting in the HD wrist pins this time around so that I don’t get any unhappy surprises like that.

I feel for ya. This is what happened to my cummins when it broke a valve spring which led to a dropped valve. Block, head, and turbo were all fucked.

Curious, what half-shafts + stubs were you rocking on your 188mm setup?

The t56 swap is pretty straightforward just alot of test fitting

Yes im actually excited for the tall 1st gear, i believe these cars don't 60ft well because of the short 1st gear.

Engine is in, the trans is installed, large case diff done, and the driveshaft is in also, mine ended up being 40.5 inches from 1350 u joint flange to tailshaft, i know some cars are different.

Also i added an instaboost digital nitrous kit to the car, who needs a larger engine anyway? Lol
