Hi guys,
I just bought an M Tech 2 steering wheel.
It is second hand and overall condiiton is quite decent. No deep scratches.
One complaint though, the center part (horn) feels quite loose. When I pressed the horn, it didnt give me a positive kick back. Like a weak spring.
Upon inspection, I found out that there is a curved metal plate, which looks like it's made out of brass. Please see attached pictures.
Anyone know what kinda metal this bit is? I think this metal is no longer give the spring effect to the horn button. If I was to make a custom piece to replace the old one using the same metal, would this work?
Thanks
that is not a spring to give resistance, that is the contact for the horn circuit to ground, completing the circuit. you might just be missing a spring completely if one was not in there
No e30s again.
