Hi Guys,
Just wondering how many of you guys need the BMW E38 wine glasses, part no. 52202494701?
I have created a poll to ask BMW to make these again.
If you are interested, please answer the poll, I would sincerely appreciate it...
I have also attached a pic for those to see...
Thanks.
Are those originals? I have never seen them but they look a little tall to fit in their compartment above the fridge. Do the glass bases fit in the round recesses in the back seat tables?
A thousand people wouldn't even be enough bud. they will never make them again, sorry.
wish I had a fridge and tables let alone the specific glasses

Yes, they are originals for the E38 750il individuals and L7s.
I am not sure whether it was available in the USA...
They generally are stored in a compartment above the centre armrest, usually in place of the first aid kit, which is relocated to under the front passenger seat. I think they are designed to be placed onto the rear cupholders. I am not too sure...
Someone may be able to correct me on this...
The E32 750il highline wine glasses (with a different base) are designed to be stored in the fridge (which is also slightly different).
Anyway, both types are now not being made by BMW..., so unless the previous owner took good care of them, we will probably have them...

I understand what you mean, pal, but can they not make a good profit by remaking them for the E38 individuals and L7s?
I know they made 899 L7 cars and probably more individuals...
I have heard that they attract a high price on ebay etc. when they rarely come up for sale...

You at least have the heated steering wheel...
In Europe, I think it was an option, and wasn't specced by many...

Come on guys....
We have spent all our money on fixing our cupholders and gloveboxes already
I take two sets
El Cid 1999 ILDUDMD Tune/DINAN CAI/19 in Style 95 Rims/Bilstein's Shocks/Eibach Lowering Springs/OEM Folding Mirrors/Custom Cupholder/Custom Wood Sunshade/Sport Steering Wheel/Euro Center Console/Leather Shifter/Rearview Camera /Luke Custom 10 in Sub Box/Cross Drilled Rotors/Rear view Camera/BMW OEM Monitors/BMW E38 Picnic Tables/Vanity Headrests/OEM Roof Rack/Strut Bar/Dinan MAF and Dinan Throttle Body and Dinan tunning /BM53 Radio upgrade /Custom Innovadrive NXG39 modify and Alpine ILX-W650 touch screen radio.
They are kind of...non descript. Too plain for the L7 in my opinion.
Better would be some Waterford Crystal engraved. Now those, I could go for a set.
No, pal, they can't. I'm sry dude but you need a reality check.
By the way, I'm not the one guy who voted no. I did vote yes lol even though it'll do nuthin!
Who ever voted no is a jerk , you just messed this poll up for OP.

There is zero chance they would ever even consider to remake these. It's hard enough getting some common parts for the majority. They would lose a lot of money recreating those in all honesty.
Yup thanks glad some one else agrees. sorry OP but once again just a silly thought/thread..
They would have to make at least 5k units to be cost effective and they would probably only sell a few sets.
BMW would have to contract with a supplier, the supplier would need NOS or run another production, all costly. BMW would have to charge an absurd price to make a profit. Best bet is to contact the supplier directly, BMW Individual *might* help you with the supplier name. It is hard enough to get BMW to do parts runs on critical chassis components for classic models and when they do, the prices are quite high.
