Interior light keeps coming on intermittently

Okay everyone check this out. My 1998 E39 m62 battery went dead we've had some brutally cold weather recently here in New England. I just jump started it cuz she wouldn't start and she fired right up. So now it's time to take her for a nice drive. While I'm driving, the interior light comes on every so often by itself. W??!! T??!! F????!!!!

When did Columbus Ohio become part of New England?
Maybe one of your door switches is frozen?

I exeprienced what GG mentioned. I tried to open my passenger door the other day but it was frozen shut. I went to the drivers side and was able to get in. I was driving the car later that day and I suddnly noticed an interior light came on but no singnals in the console. I recalled I tried to open the passenger door earlier. When I got to me destination I opened and closed that door a few times and the issue did not reoccur.

This past Sunday we had -20 to 30 wind chill. There were gusts of up to 30 miles an hour. It was like 1 degrees out. My doors froze. I came out to leave my brother's place to drive home, and discovered all four doors were frozen shut. All I had was window defroster which I knew was good for 20 Below. I got a couple pictures of it and poured it along the scenes very slowly, and apparently I jarred loose the driver side rear door. It was made it was dark the wind was howling it was bitterly bitterly cold! I had charted open just enough to keep the interior light on as a car sat for three days. I discovered it after I texted here. Opened it and slammed it shut in that took care of that problem. So hit this is a heads up for anybody who lives up in New England or anywhere where you have severe cold. I must say it is a pain in the ass and I will be moving down south as soon as possible :-) thanks everyone for your input.

Pssst, hey buddy .... little secret for you: Apollo 11, July 1969, but dang, they still haven't perfected that software!

BTW, I had the weird cabin lights coming on for no reason at one time, and it turned out to be strangely tied to some cheap aftermarket ballasts I had installed for my xenon headlights.
