Hi bimmers,
I guess i’m not the only one facing this problem but i can’t find any details on my issue.
specifically, many times my convertible rooftop stalls during open / close operations. No cracking / whining sounds, it just feels like the hydraulics don’t have enough power to open or close the rooftop.
i got a foxwell NT510 tool and to my surprise i actually got some related errors, but again, not much detail online. Any tips from the experts?
A688/not present - CVM: Fault incoding data
A689/not present - CVM: Hall sensor, roll bar unclamped
A68D/not present - CVM: Hall sensor, roll bar set up
i have reset the codes only yesterday, and errors reappeared almost instantly, without the attempt of opening / closing the rooftop
Any hints where i could perhaps find more details on the codes?
My E88 top will no longer go down. The windshield locks will rotate/unlock but the top does not fold. The windows all properly go down.
I tried using INPA to look for faults but there is no Convertible Top Module (CVM or CTM) listed under chassis or body. Any idea how I can check the CVM or run a diagnostic?
I would look in to the hall sensors the top needs to see that switches are working correctly or it will not work
bump did this ever get resolved? having same issue
