    Fuel Pump Relay Diagnosis

    Hi everyone,
I’ve seemed to isolate my no startissue on the 2010 X5 3.0 to a faulty fuel pump relay, but in testing the relay all variables seem ok?

I get Clicking when energizing the relay between 85/86 terminals, resistance across same terminals is 95ohms. 30/87 terminals are open when de-energized and closed when energized.

I jumped the terminals on the relay connector and confirmed the fuel pump runs when energized. Then I checked the other points for DME voltage when cranking and get 9.0 volts or thereabouts. So that seems to be working.

Just wondering before buying the $50 relay from my dealer, whether it may be something else? I don’t think my model has a fuel pump fuse?

    Feedback is greatly appreciated.
    Paul

Checked fuse 150, and it’s good. All looks to be a relay. I’ll post up once it gets here.
