Hey there ,
Any suggestion on this issue is greatly appreciated.
So, the car is parked all night. On my first attempt to start it in the morning, it starts instantly, consistently.
If I however press the start/stop to acc or Ignition, and let it remain in that state for more than 4 minutes, Then my attempt to start the car becomes futile . The engine just keeps turning over but refuse to start as if it's out of fuel.
In order to get the car started again, I have to power down completely for 3-5 minutes, after which I am certain to start on first go.
Any ideas?

The first step in diagnosing a problem is to scan the engine computer(DME in BMWspeak) and the automatic transmission computer (EGS) for codes. The SES light is in only when an emissions related code is present. Guessing from a half a continent away is a shot in the dark.
Ah, the wonderful "ASS" system. I always wondered whether that acronym truly refers to "Automatic Start Stop", or whether it's talking about the guy who invented it.
When scanning all the computers with ISTA or other BMW specific diagnostic system, pay heed to the codes in the CAS (Car Access System) also.
