Is it at all possible for an alternator to stop charging while driving ( as in zero charging and only the battery drives the car), AND the battery symbol does not come on, and its not because the cluster's bulb is blown? Yet when I switch the key to run, the battery light comes on as per normal?
If so, what would be wrong with the alternator to cause this?
Can a problem with the D+ wiring cause this?
Thanks.
Instead of diddling around with wiring and whatnot why don't you simply replace your alternator, or at least the voltage regulator as suggested long ago.? Some of the "testing" you mentioned in your other thread regarding this is potentially destructive and perhaps is causing these continued troubles.
Over and out, good luck

so your problem is not solved, then I will remove from the thread title the "solved, D+ wiring", which you asked the moderators to add, otherwise people will get confused and believe you solved your problem and the problem was D+ wiring
