New to Bimmers Need help info

    Greetings everyone,
I just bought a 94 740il. Car made it home to Vermont from Connecticut, but it developed two problems along the way and a third I noticed after I got it home.
    1. Coolant leak from the front of the engine. Appears to be more to the passenger side. If it turns out to be the seals on the internal coolant pipes, how long of a job can I expect that to be? And what is the most common leak from that area? I'm hoping it's not major.
    2. Car idles low and revs fine, but when you let off the gas, it stalls. You have to start it with your foot on the throttle slightly, then let off easy after it starts otherwise it stalls.
And 3. While looking around under the hood after I got it home, I found the PCV is not connected. It is blocked with electrical tape and there is no hose or tube anywhere that I can find that goes to it. Where is the engine end of the PCV? Maybe that is the cars idle problem?
Thanks in advance for all help.

with regards to the coolant leak read this https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...2-Coolant-Leak Hidden-M60-M62-Coolant-Leak
I am not the M60 specialist and cannot tell how long the repair takes. Idle problem could be the not connected PCV, fix that first

Below the intake manifold are the pipes, below the pipes is the valley pan gasket. Remove the intake manifold, replace all the seals, front throttle body gasket and the pcv plate on the back of the manifold. Check the pops when you remove them for corrosion around the oring sealing area and replace the valley plate. I'm trying to picture the hose that is not connected to the pcv plate, I don't have an answer for that

    Thanks for the help all.
So far I replaced some of the upper hoses that used to go to the heater core. {has been bypassed due to leakage} then refilled the system with fresh coolant filling the radiator and the block from the upper radiator hose, then completing it in the expansion tank.
Drove it around town all afternoon yesterday and so far no leaks.I don't know how that would have affected the front of the engine leak, but it appears to have stopped for now.
It still has the idle problem. Haven't had time to thoroughly hunt that down yet. But there is definitely a plugged spot on the PVC and I simply cannot find a hose or tube that matches that floating around. Getting a pounding with snow this weekend so I probably won't do much till later this week.
Again, thanks for the help and I'll be around. I have a project {beater} 89 750iL that I hope resurrect. That car needs considerable work to make it a driver again. Starting with a fuel leak from behind the left rear tire {only when the key is on} and breaks.
