    Wanted: stock 323i rear springs

    Hi all-

I'm looking for a set of "fine used" stock-height rear springs for my 323i.

Not sure what the stock height is in order to figure if they're sagged or not, don't know what the ones on there are (they're red). Guess I'll take 'em apart and measure them.

    Anyone?

    thanks!

I believe the are all the same, so you could use 320i springs. If I am not mistaken, blue binder should have a measurement from the wheel rim to the wheel well...
Red springs are not factory unless they are M tech springs, some of which used to be red before they started making them in black.

I do have a new set of BMW springs I can measure for you, just PM me.

Looking at realoem it appears the euro models came with different ones, 320 and 323 alike. But I can’t think why unless they were stiffer for handling reasons rather than weight reasons..

ill probably end end up settling for whatever I can find. My driver side seems a little lower than the passenger side, and now would be a convenient time to replace them while I have the subframe off.

Looking at the photos of your car, it looks like it's slightly lowered. I'd check if the front springs are red. You do not want to missmatch the front and the rear.
As far as one side lower (rear left) two of e21 I have owned had that problem and springs made no difference. I suspect it may have something to do with the trailing arm bushings, front suspension/geometry or maybe even rear shock towers fatique?. I replaced springs and subframe bushings and it made no difference.

I have a set of new 33531118815 but they do not seem to fit 323i. It weird unless 323i's all came with m technic suspensions.

The fronts are definitely not red. It seems to me like the rears might be a little lower than the front..

My trailing arm bushings, rear subframe mounts and entire front suspension are all fresh (aside from the front springs themselves). No obvious issues with the rear shock towers themselves.

I suppose only measuring the springs will tell whether they are the problem or not.
