Test your battery.
It won’t crank or it cranks and won’t start?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
yes, we need more details. Does it crank or not? Is the fuel pump running and pumping?
Do you get sparks?
Basically all this: https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...power+ultimate

It cranks now that I took the battery to be tested and charged it is getting fuel had a guy test the fuel line it cranks but doesn't fully turn over to start
What are the test results of the battery? You can also set the ignition on and then check on the OBC under test #9 the voltage http://bmwe32.masscom.net/johan/obc_...c_secrets.html
But that only shows you the voltage without load. Did they make a load test of the battery?
Looks like the battery is bad.
Get another car and use a jumper cable to battery B+ post in the engine bay amd to chassis and use that car to start your engine. Or: To hook up jumper cables, park the donor vehicle next to the vehicle with the dead battery, turn both vehicles off, and set the parking brakes. Next, clamp one of the red clamps onto the positive terminal of the dead battery, then secure the other red clamp to the positive terminal on the donor battery.

It cranks but wont start
Give it a jump test battery still not working
Enough fuel in the tank? Does the fuel pump work at all?
Spark plugs, plug wires, rotor & ignition coil - Clean and inspect
Distributor cap – if eroded and worn - changed to new one
Check fuel pressure . Might need to replace Fuel Pump and fuel filter.
check fusible link near battery http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/377728/
checked all fuses in engine bay and under rear seat
Do you have a fault code reader like a Peake tool?
or do a stomp test

Shogun need help, could it be the timing chain?
Last edited by shogun; 04-25-2019 at 11:19 PM. Reason: unnecessary quote removed
When you fired it up last time, how long did you run it for?
Timing chain I do not believe, that lasts very, very long. Check all the items listed above we asked you and reply in detail.

google for stomp test bmw e32. Here some more info https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...e-pedal-faults
1) Turn the ignition switch to the 'engine run' position. (do not start the engine)
2) Depress the gas pedal to the floor 5 times.
The CHECK ENGINE light will blink out the FAULT CODES starting with the lowest number first. These FAULT CODES consist of 4 digits each separated by a short pause (ie. blink pause blink blink pause blink pause blink translates as 1 2

did you meanwhile check the fuel tank? We recently had another member which had a no start problem and it finally turned out that there was not enough fuel in the tank.

It was a lot of gas about 4.5 gallons, I would guess that it's something minor is just a matter of finding the problem

Just to make sure that the fuel pump works, test it by adding gas, then test the fuel pump http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/366521/

Garage mechanic came by tested fuel pump fuel pump is working
Last edited by shogun; 04-25-2019 at 11:22 PM. Reason: unnecessary quote removed
Do you or the garage mechanic have a fault code tool like a Peake fault code tester?
Is the ignition o.k.? Did you check the distributor and rotor? Ignition coil? Crankshaft position sensor?
Difficult to help over the forum without actual testing results.

Shogun Could it be the alternator or spark plug related??
as mentioned above, ignition = distributor, distributor rotor, ignition coil, spark plugs, crankshaft position sensor.
Not alternator.
Question, you mentioned: ...wont start after charge of battery HELP
Was there a mix up with plus and minus when connecting the battery charger?
If so, some fuses could have been blown.
Does the DME relay get power?
Did you check the fusible links? http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/377728/

replace plugs wires rotor and cap about five to six thousand miles ago but mechanic did not gap plugs
gapping new plugs is normally not necessary, when you order the correct ones they come ex factory correctly gapped.
What happened 5000 - 6000 miles ago does not matter, you have to check everything now.
And please answer the questions above in my post #20.
