Need help identifying this convertible part from the early 2000s

Newbie here, so go easy on me. I sold my 2005 BMW M3 convertible over 15 years ago. Still have this part in my garage and simply do not know what to call it. Is it a cover for the rear seats? Please watch the short video Thank you guys....

Go to www.realoem.com and select your year/model (E46 M3) and look at the section 54 SLIDING ROOF/FOLDING TOP area.

    Best of luck!

I glanced and didn't see anything making me wonder if that is a BMW sourced part. What is it's purpose? Look closely at the piece and you may see a part number which can be plugged into realoem to reveal further details.

It's a cargo net that would fit above the rear seat and the bent metal ends go in to metal recpticles in the roof. I highly doubt it came from a e46 m3 convertible they would have a fine mesh windscreen. I have a similar unit for my wagon, but it also has the cargo cover on the back side the two clips would be for storing it in place when not being used. It would be stored at the front of the rear seat bottom cushion where brackets would receive it, like on my wagon
