I was traveling and went to pass a car & stepped hard on the gas. As it accelerated, it made a sudden noise & hesitated. I backed off and it seemed to hold speed but I knew something was not right. I pulled over & opened the hood & the charpe pipe connection towards the back was loose. I started back home & the warning lights came on as it started slowing. I looked again & the part of the end was actually gone & there was a large opening.
I need to replace the charge pipe but should I replace with OEM plastic or after market aluminum?
I'm not sure what the aluminum pipes cost, but the OEM ones aren't cheap. I would personally like the upgrade, but it may take a few days to get one. Most dealerships probably have the OEM one in stock. Depends on if you have something else to drive or not.
