    Power windows

    Hi all,

i've tried to search throughout the forum, but no avail/close answers

since my e32 is RHD, driver side is on the right, left is passenger, so...i remember i have all the windows working, but now the passenger front (Front left) is not working, rear right is intermittent [70% of the time works]. driver side is also intermittent[ 90% of the time works] only once in a while it will not respond to the switch, all auto up and down is working on those with "known working" windows. i need a guide on where to start with this one..if it works, it sounds like the window is going up and down smooth no hesitation or motor forcing going up and down..

Did you already check the wire looms from A-pillar to doors? Often the wires break there, especially on the door which is mostly used = driver door.

    shogun,

i tried, but the rubber sleeve seems to be not moving when i pulled it, any specific way to move the rubber sleeve to access the wire looms? should it be pulled away from the door towards A-pillar or from the A-pillar towards the door?

there are some instructions on the shop manual, 41-51/2 41 51 080 https://www.bmwtechinfo.com/repair/main/Index_cd3.htm
under removing and installing left or right front door.
There you can see how to pull the plug connector out of A-pillar and unlock the connector. I also had removed the door cards, as I wanted to check the entire wire loom.

see also here: Kabelbruch Tuer links hinten http://bmwe32.pagaduan.org/ click that on the left and a new side will open with pics, there you can see that the broken wire loom in that case was inside the door
