    750il gas leak under hood

Is there a common leak on 1999 v12 front passenger side of engine? Its so cold out to start taking parts off randomly to see whats leaking. If I had an idea of where to start it would be great.
    Thank in advance, Jake

You need to replace fuel lines. Get new ones or re-do end clamps.

Assuming the V12s have it like the V8s do, also check the short piece of rubber fuel line that connects the 2 sections of hard line right by the passenger side shock tower (next to the engine).

Well the fuel filter sits under the right front seat plus IIRC a few other fuel connections

Yep, there's a line that makes a sharp turn up front, left side facing the car. When cold it leaks, then expands with engine heat in most cases and stops. I've seen this a lot. Follow the fuel lines up the passenger side and you'll see it. It's a molded line, so youll want to order it from BMW.

It is molded, but I was able to make a suitable replacement out of regular fuel injection hose. The bend is a little on the tight side for it, but once the car was run and got up to temperature with pressure in the line, it formed to the bend just fine and wasn't squished at all.

Wonder if that's what's causing my gas smell. I haven't found an egregious leak, but definitely smell gas in the mornings when the car is cold.

Another thing to put on the list. Might have my shop tackle this next time I'm in.
