    Valve cover gasket change

Hi all, been lurking for awhile and decided to finally join lol.

Does anyone know a good repair shop in Southern california that does good work and is reasonable in price?

Spoke to a few places with good reviews and they all want at least $450 labor only.

    I have a 2009 528I and I'm right near LAX airport.

    Thanks all!

$450 labor is a really good labor price for that repair, particularly in SoCal.

+1 ! You'd pay more than that at my shop, in fairly rural North Carolina. I'd expect L.A. labor for this to run at least $600, at $150 an hour, 4 hours is the book rate.

You need to make absolutely sure to take the car to a BMW specialist shop, not a generic place. You may think it saves money, but that's only true until the generic shop cracks the valve cover, doesn't know enough to replace the valvetronic motor gasket or valvetronic sensor seal . or they forget to tighten the coil grounds, or don't know enough to firmly push the coil plugs onto the coils.

I repeat: DO NOT GO TO A GENERIC SHOP!
