unable to connect my iPhone to E93 Bluetooth

    Hi folks,

Although that Bluetooth setting in my car is set to "Active", and I also tried to disable and enable it again, and clicked "Pair New iPhone" where a message came indicated the car's Bluetooth name; my iPhone and other even HTC weren't able to discover car Bluetooth system. Any idea?

One more question, what is the best diagnostic software and adapter for BMW (i.e: Audi has VAGCOM VCDS)

    Thanks,

    Is your Bluetooth working ?
On my e90 sedan the Bluetooth device is in the knee/kick panel on the drivers left . If someone removed the lower cover they may have disconnected the receiver .

Softwarewise I’ve been using Carly for years .
Otherwise I’d recommend the BMW software. I have a virtualBox OVA somewhere with all the stuff. Just need a laptop with the virtualBox

So when you pair, get the car in get the pairing mode, search devices in the phone, finds car, a number that comes up on the phone, Like bmw12354, I believe you then tap the number and the screen on the phone displays a key pad you would say. You enter the security code say 1234, then at the top of the phone it would say pair, tap that. The car info comes up with 0-9 listing you enter the 1234 and press ok then it's paired

What is the adapter I need? I don't think that VAGCOM VCDS for VW group OBDII adapter will work. In addition, I previously purchased $15 OBDII adapter but it doesn't seem to work properly on iOs Carly app (it keeps shwoing high and duplicates number of faults)

P.s: can you share with me the stuff you have and what adapter are you using?

the problem was that my iPhone is not discovering BMW Bluetooth (although it is enabled). Suddenly it is now discoverable. I had just to keep trying the search

If the key is on it should be active [dash lights on etc].
The antenna on my sedan is under the knee panel near the bonnet release . [black module].
