2001 325xi No crank No start, Power to starter

I have ran into a no crank no start issue with lights on the dash coming on but the abs light will sometimes stay on after i turn the ignition off. I had bmw diagnose thinking it had something to do with the EWS. They said it was my starter so i replaced it. Still no crank no start. Battery tested good with voltage and cranking amps. I bench tested the old starter and it works. I was able to bump start it. So the problem lies between ignition and starter that makes me think something is inhibiting the starter from cranking. While my starter is getting power from the red wire as well as the black wire as i have tested with a circuit light. I noticed the black and yellow wire that leads to the starter also lights up when i turn the ignition on and the light will stay lit up for a second or two once i turn the ignition off. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

What is the voltage at the main power connection on the starter when the ignition is in the start position? I ask because the power cable that originates at the battery is mechanically joined to the starter’s main power cable at the underhood jumper post under the red plastic cover. There have been reports of that connection corroding. That corrosion prevents the proper amperage from getting to the starter.
