is this a new battery or did you just try charging the depleted one?

please any suggestion would be great. I don't know what to do, I am a backyard mechanic, and like to tinker with my vehicles so I can save some money. I learn something every time I try to figure things out....please help....
i already replied with a question, but, ok.
if you ran the battery completely down - there's a strong chance the battery is dead.
what happens when you turn the key? do you hear anything? does anything happen?
odds are you need a new battery.
if you want - take a multimeter and measure voltage at the battery while trying to crank the car....most likely, it'll read single digits, which isn't enough to turn the car over.....

its just a charged battery

I tried a new battery, and same thing
something isn't adding up here.
so, you have a new battery that is the proper size and such for your car? what voltage does that battery read?
was the car starting and running without issue prior to this?
have you done any other work on the car recently?
ok - let's start over - please view our link that tells you everything we need to know:

help us help you - we are not standing next to the car.
so, i'll ask again:
what happens when you turn the key? do you hear anything? does anything happen?
have you taken a voltage reading of the new battery?

Shawopuck, do u think it needs the computer
Well....I'd test that battery, before panicking. You are basically chasing a "no crank" condition; there are no special exemptions for the battery being completely dead prior to this.
IF the battery is showing 12.6 volts, then try locking the driver's door with the key, then unlocking it, then try to start the car.

yes it run awesome
it does not even a sound when u turn the key
have you taken any voltage readings? do you have a multimeter?
when you say it does nothing when turning the key - do the lights dim or go out or anything?

Um, Handyman, you should slow down a bit. "Do you think it needs the computer?" is really a nonsense question...Sorry. I really can't imagine what you're asking.
Test the battery. Try locking and unlocking the door.

Is this a manual or automatic? Are you in park/neutral, or is the clutch pedal pushed to the floor?

nothing when I lock it and open it and try to start it

its a auto and in park
I finally found the Thread, any suggestions ?

I don't think it needs a computer , maybe just flashed
Test the battery. Try neutral. Try a different key. Connect a BMW specific diagnostic computer to the underhood diagnostic port, and read the codes in the DME, the EGS, and the EWS.

Im sorry that im not very smart, I just want to fix my car
if you are talking about the what we need to diagnose your issue thread - well, that explains what we need to know to help you.
basically, we don't have much to go on here, and what we do know we've had to pull out question by question.
at any rate - yes, we need some testing.
this is a blog post from bavauto - don't worry that it says e30, the testing process is for many bmw's. and, we've basically been asking you these questions:

I have a 1998 bmw 328i with /0k and the battery went completely dead and now with a new battery it doesnot even try to do anything
have you taken any voltage readings? do you have a multimeter?
when you say it does nothing when turning the key - do the lights dim or go out or anything?
so, you have a new battery that is the proper size and such for your car? what voltage does that battery read?
have you done any other work on the car recently?

Im sorry I don't explain my self very good , I just wanted some insight….sorry.. apparently im not smart enough for this site....I guess ill go spend the big money to fix this thing
the only thing has been done to the car is the radio has been change
- - - Updated - - -
but was after it wouldn't start
so, you changed the radio after it wouldn't start?
i'm trying to give you the steps/insight to walk through troubleshooting the problem.
you have to test, so you can diagnose, so you can fix.
do you have the ability to check voltages, such as with a multimeter?
'95 325iS - auto to manual swap done!
Like mentioned by Chris, try another key; maybe this one's battery is dead and the chip isn't communicating with the EMS module. And as mentioned repeatedly by shadowpuck, do the lights on the dashboard dim, can you operate the radio, the a/c, windows... without issue or do they feel slower than usual/not functional at all?
a wild guess: are you sure you hooked up the batteries' terminals properly?
