    96-99 E36 Siren Repair

Seems like after 20 years, the dealer is not offering OEM sirens.

Has anyone tried to repair them?

Yes, I popped in a used siren and I'm good but that siren will eventually give out as its two decades old and I'll be collecting sirens.

Is there any other sirens that are E36 compatible? Z3?

And earlier 92-95 sirens are not compatible or 96-98, right?

Seems like just going the aftermarket route might be in order.

    Any input would be appreciated.

I believe any 12 volt siren should be okay.

Thanks. Sounds like the fitting (adapter) is just the different which is why folks specify 96-99 etc.

Still curious about the repair if anyone has done it.
