Hello everyone. I just bought a 03 325i. It had a rough idle and had needed some mechanical work. I fixed all of it so far (bad MAF, vacuum leak, misfire on cylinders 3 and 6) so I test drive it, and when I pull back into my driveway the "BRAKE" light on the dash lights up yellow, and the yellow triangle with the exclamation mark and circle around it lights up as well. I read codes, no codes found. What are these lights? I've looked at brake pads (all are good), rotors (good). Thanks in advance.
I’m sure someone with more experience will chime in but the “triple death” set of lights (did you say the ABS was on too?) is pretty common. And usually not a big deal. Not sure why there’s no error code but maybe a speed sensor is bad. Those things are exposed to the elements, get thusly dirty, and can trigger those lights coming on.
Sometimes, after turning car off and then back on can correct, or disconnecting the battery for a few hours.

If you do disconnect the battery- make sure you know the radio/security code in case you need it when battery reconnects.

Appreciate both responses. No ABS light, just those two. I was reading that those lights will limit engine power like a modified limp mode, but i had good throttle response during test drive. The lights are steady too, they never blink or flicker. As soon as I turn the key to start it up they pop up and stay on. Also during the test drive, the speedometer was working fine, but didn't think to test the cruise control. Not sure if that additional info will help anyone

Perform a diagnostic scan with BMW scantool/software,
that will reveal more than a generic OBD2 scanner.
The audio system in the E46 does not use a code for security. That was the E36.
Just wanted to give an update. So I put in a new front left speed sensor, pulled the others and cleaned them. Just went to test drive and before even getting out of my driveway the lights cleared. It's a band aid for now, but no lights mean it passes Virginia Inspection.
Well; that’s ...good. Hope the lights stay off

Thanks for the update, you should be fine with that new sensor.
