    Bluebimma Project E53 6.0T

Purchased a 2006 E53 x5 4.4i a bit over a year ago for an ls swap. The vehicle came from cleveland ohio from a shop doing chains on the engine. The owner decided that he no longer wanted to pay for the chain sevice and turned the title over to the shop. I picked the vehicle up for 2100$. It has the panoramic roof, Xenon, face-lift, rear air, and a few other options. Ideally, i wouldve started with a 4.8is, but theyre much pricier than the other units.

First modification, X5M wheels from the E70.

Pulled my Lq4 from a chevy pick up truck that had rotted in half from canada and ended up in our yard.

My 02 silverado 2500hd was put on the dyno, made 220Rwhp and 260Rwtq in 100% stock form. I decided to go with small twins optimized for low end grunt and midrange rather than peak hp for when i tow my 335ti and 360ti to the track. Chose to go with Twin garrett MGT2256 turbos. Theyre small, low A/R exhaust side for uick spool, and a small-moderate sized compressor housing. Planning to use the stock lq4 cam or possibly moving to ls6 with springs and lifters. Removed the iron 317s for aluminum 317s. The manifolds are ls shorty 1.5" to 2.5", bmw v-band turbine housing flange, 38mm external wastegate, forge atmosphere BOVs, N63 catless stainless steel downpipes, and is mated to N63 air to water intercoolers. It is a complex system, but this is what ive chosen and honestly dont have much into the system. Goal is a moderate 500rwhp into the 4l80e RWD unit.

I have a brand new LS6 cam in the box that I'm not going to use let me know if your interested. I'll give you a great deal. Loving the twins with the intercooler setup. Gonna be awesome to see reactions when you pop the hood to this thing!

Depends how much, debating on the cam or leaving the truck cam in and running more boost instead.

Should be a hoot popping the hood at events. Hoping for at least a pass or two at the track to see what it will do.

    that's an interesting project !

looks to me like you won't need to pop the hood, turbos will be sticking out of the hood !

Nice score on the wheels. If you ever want to powdercoat, plastidip or paint them down the road your cost will be minimal since they are new! Cant wait to hear it start for the first time!
