Driver side header mocked up as well as both engine mounts. I need to connect some of the piping yet obviously (link 7/8 and 5/6) but it's there for space claim. I made my own slim steering shaft as well because the stock one was hitting the driver side mount.
I'll get these fully cut up and see where it sits from there!
Looking fantastic! Glad you're making quick progress, May isn't very far away when you have to complete a project like this. Gonna be so sweet though!
I forgot you were making a thread for this. Looking super good homie. But we need more pics of the bearded guy holding the motor mount lmao
I might've missed it in the thread, but what U-joint are you using at the steering rack? Putting an aftermarket column in mine and need to fab up a steering shaft to mate to it. Very cool build
Why you gotta PM? Im wondering the same thing. I also run an E46.

Either one of these will work. You need a 17mm 54 spline u joint

They ain't givin' them bastards away! Lol
Getting the headers figured out a little bit more. So far I can remove header without removing engine mount and engine in position, which is nice. Seems to have enough header clearance to mount eyeballing it for engine movement as well.
For those wondering, the front cylinder feeding into the second (cyl 5 into 6) has two other cylinders firing before them, and this is how the factory Ford exhaust is designed as well.. so I should be okay with enough flow even though I'm feeding almost directly into it. So cyl 5 fires, then two more fire on opposite bank and then cyl 6. I couldn't really extend them any other way. It's super tight routing to work with.
Hmmmm, somehow I think you're going to have enough power even if your header flow is a little less than optimal. Lol
How about brighten up that artsy fartsy shot of the blower sticking through the hood so we can ogle that badboy.
Awesome thanks!

Yea but it's twice the cost of doing it myself https://vorshlag-store.com/collectio...shaft-assembly

I mean with the parts linked its like $320. Flaming river sells the VS one for even more ($520!) the difference is the straight double d vs the collapsible shaft. The VS/FR is collapsible, so retains OEM safety.
Video version of some updates if you want to watch.

Passenger header started
That first Y is looking real nice!
Tight!! Going to merge these into a collector then with a v band to then connect the rest of the exhaust to. I just have to break it apart and weld after I get the final piece in.
