Yeah it's pretty funny doing the rear struts lol. I ended up redoing my headliner too while I was at it

Almost did the same when I upgraded my rear deck speakers to Bavsound. Pulling the whole rear interior for a speaker swap is definitely a first for me.

headliner was already done with suede, I was having a buzzing sound from one of my monsoon speakers so this gave me a chance to redo the sealing and reinstall. Next up is putting in the 750 brakes and reinstalling 750 interior peaces.

May have finally resolved the SAS but want to wait a bit before declaring success. Especially as I had a small problem with cyls 7-12 afterwards... misfires with cutoff. Oh wait, you are supposed to connect the accordion boot to the MAF and actually tighten it down?
    Never mind...
Hopefully no other stupid mistakes... hence the wait.

I had only on olders style key, so sent the EWS and key off to RPM Motorsport. I ordered the older style key set. When I received it, it had two newer diamond style keys, two valet keys and the original key.

Turns out they couldn't get any older style keys, guess i'll have to make do with newer key...:P

Several weeks ago, I swapped 3 power steering hoses to stop a leak, just noticed fluid leaking again, time to source the leak.

Did you change out the old PS canister? These are cheap and the old ones normally leak.

I'll second this. I need to replace mine at some point. It leaks a little around the cap. Put a new seal on the cap and even then, any time I take it off to check the fluid it's 50/50 whether it'll seal or if it'll slowly weep a little bit of fluid onto the outside of the reservoir.

I didn't replace the canister but I did replace 2 of the three hoses the go to the canister, I trimmed the third one to the SLS. The leak was located at the cooler lines adjacent to the radiator. Both of those hoses were replaced but the bolt needed to be tightened after a warm up and cool down.

They Don't want us Posting Links on the board but search Google/Amazon for "Sunco Lighting LED Utility Shop Light, 4 FT, Linkable Integrated Fixture, 40W=260W, 5000K Daylight, 4100 LM, Frosted Lens, Surface/Suspension Mount, Pull Chain, Garage – ETL, Energy Star" and it will take you right to it.

My Garage is nearly as bright as high noon without the heat and that nasty flickering effect of fluorescents and these things are a fraction of the weight so they can be suspended from the drywall and you don't have to find a stud

    I bought a thing.

Hope to replace the noisy motor I have now with this one. 147k miles, said to run very well. Bought from a source on the FB E38 pages. Will replace guides, seals and everything else as needed.

    Sorry about that - Look for "Frost King EPDM Rubber Self-Stick Weatherseal Tape, D-Section, 5/16" W, 1/4" T, 17 ft L, Black"

Installed this gem in the L7. For $40 I'm using Bluetooth in a 22 year-old car. Love it.
