Today I sort of finished the first list of things on my '01 short sport. I'd messed around upgrading electronics, MKIV nav, bluetooth TCU, Aux input, rear speaker upgrade. All easy projects.
Last week I had the windows tinted and today I got a bit more serious. Up in the air I did a good underside cleaning. Once the puddle had dried I did the transmission flush. Even though there's only 48k on the clock that fluid is still 18 years old.
Old stuff was chocolate brown and not a lot of dirt in the pan. Ran three gallons through, up to temp, and topped off. All good. I'll get the buffer out tomorrow for a little paint correction, not a lot needed.

I have e38 Comfort Sport seats in my e39 Touring. I had forum member Frankie do the seat pocket repair. Frankie did an excellent job and they are better than new.
My Pocket brackets were broken in several places. I ended up finding a pair on eBay. Frankie did all the extra work of swapping them over and did not request anything extra for his efforts.
Super happy with how they turned out. Highly recommend his work. What the forums are all about.

Replaced a cracked guibo (turns out it was the source of my high speed vibration) and replaced the CSB while I was in there. Also cleaned as much old grease from the CV and out new in. Installed the fuel filter plastic cover (apparently someone had a joy ride in my car previously as it was missing all under body plastic including engine cover. It also has bent aluminum line holder covers). So far everything I've replaced was original in this car.
Update: took the car to have the tires road force balance and aligned. Night and day difference!! They did tell me that on of the rear was close to the "red" area in the machine for vibration so I might feel something but so far its been smooth as glass!

Question, Sabre... is the suede to your liking, and the source?
This project in on my table in the next month, along with the new moon roof cassette. I've been considering
finding the same material, but with a small section for the slider panel with no backing so it doesn't drag.

Found some great condition OEM rear tail lights and replaced the 750s. Only $100 NZD which is a bargain also
