Had the front seats professionally reconditioned. I attempted to do it myself with Colourlock but the color wasn't right sadly and I was short on time. I'll be writing about that in my build thread once the interior is all buttoned up.

Nothing. Car has been sitting in the garage for almost two weeks, as I've been on vacation. I've been driving the E65, as I can now... Usually can't get it off from wife's hand...

Went to a DIY Garage near me and worked on a transmission leak. Thanks to everyone in the forum, I was able to replace the guibo and transmission output seal to hopefully stop the leak. Love working to bring my E38 back to tip top shape.

Did math to figure out how to do the final transmission fill without risk of 2nd degree burns (stupid 5HP24 fill plug...). Now I get to find out why the ****ing pan gasket is leaking when torqued properly.

Took out the Depo angel eyes and put the OEM xenons back in. For some unknown reason the Depos stopped working on the passenger side but the OEMs still worked... so out they came.

Recovering from staying up till 4am doing the 750IL Footwell Lights retrofit on Iris. There's something so sexy about opening the door and having 11 lights come on in a jet black leather interior. Every E38 should have these.

Got more into working on the dorr and speakers in the door today.

Nothing too exciting. Getting a new gas tank installed in the white car due to the old one being completely rusted due to Vermont winters plus sitting empty for six years. No way in hell was I changing the gas tank on my back in the garage, too old for that. Cleaned up the lower engine cover while it was gone. Got all new screws for it too but they are in the trunk of the car at the shop.
