Cobra Nogaro in an e36 M3?

Has anyone tried these seats in an e36? Look to be a very good option for a dual duty car, curious how well they’d fit in an e36 interior (physically not visually).

Guess not... ordered a pair, will see how they work out and report back.

They look like they barely fit an E46M3 in the seat back wing to door area.

I’m expecting it to be close... hopefully they work.

They look like nice seats. Post pictures if you can get them to fit. I am leaning towards recliners instead of fixed back. Getting old and I don’t want it to be a chore to climb in and out of the car.

I'm getting old too... these seem like good middle ground and (most importantly for me) something my wife may consider riding in. Mounts are in, seats and belt receptacle should come in this afternoon... unfortunately unlikely I'll have time to tinker this afternoon or this weekend. I'll post pics once they're (hopefully) in.

My wife pretty much refuses to ride in my E36M3 and has for years. It even has heat, AC, stock power Vaders with heaters. Maybe she does not like the coilovers or turbocharged motor or roll bar or fire extinguisher that is in front of the passenger seat. About 8 years ago, I bought a lightly used E90M3 so we would not have to take her car when we went somewhere. Now she has little interest in riding in the E90M3, which is stock apart from a mid and rear exhaust and intake and pulley and tune and meth injection and bilsteins with H&R Sports. I am hoping to supercharge it, but that might not help get her into the car. Since I am stuck driving her E61 535xi when we go somewhere, I put a JB4 in it a few years ago.

Saw that, look great in the e46... tried to get a quote (emailed and called) from HMS to do a custom set similar to some of the ones they did in the group buy, but never got a response. Ended up buying them from Jegs (free shipping compared to HMS which did not have free shipping). If they fit/I like them I'll get the custom work done locally.

These e36's are a serious improvement over the e34 I used to have her ride in... 535xi with a JB4 doesn't sound like a bad alternative at all!

Really looking forward to seeing how this works out for you. I have been considering these myself. I am liking that the seats were designed so that a standard lap belt can still sit right where it is supposed to be.

All the parts are in; hoping to find 45 minutes in the next couple of days to pop one in and see.

Did a quick test fit this morning; fit no problem. Still have some tweaking to do to get position right, but don’t have time time today.

They look pretty nice in the car. I’m ~6’1” 195lbs and they’re a hair tight on my shoulders but not uncomfortable. Generally speaking I expected them to be a little nicer for how expensive they are but oh well.

Glad to see it is working out! If you didn't mind me asking, which of the two variants on Jegs is this? From what I can tell, there are two "materials" options available on their site for the Circuit style seat in GRP or Carbon.

I got the amalfi outer with dinamica center.. I reached out to HMS to see about doing them custom in m cloth but nobody responded to my email or called me back. I’ll likely recover the centers locally.

Quick review after a Sebring DE in them... seats fit in the car well physically, visually i think they look decent and not great. Comfort wise I’m a fan, they serve the dual duty role very well. Comfortable with the oem 3 point belt as well as with the Schroth QF I’m running. Combo of Nogaro/Schroth kept me well planted on a bumpy, quick track.

Those look great! I'm considering getting a pair of these as well. How do you like them overall?

Also, am I seeing that right that you have a RTD shifter and you didn't have to cut the panel...? Details?

Overall I like them a lot, my only complaint is the vinyl area of the seats looks cheap... and that would be fine if these were cheap seats. Functionally I think they’re a solid option for dual duty cars.

Correct on the RTD, one of the reasons I went with it over the cae was not having to hack up the center console... and the group buy a few months back pushed me over the edge. Feels good, unfortunately don’t have experience with the CAE to compare.

Edit: Here’s a short vid of the shifter right after install, shows fitment in there.

Thanks man; quite a bit left to do on the interior of this car but it’s coming along. Thoroughly enjoyed the shifter at Sebring a couple of weekends ago. Night and day.
