Afternoon y'all,
My 2002 325ci is getting up there in miles and I'd like to make sure it sticks around for as long as possible. I am looking for a discreet diagnostic tool that would display for me information that goes a bit beyond what is represented on the dash. I was thinking something along the lines of the monitors some people install after doing tunes so that they can modify it on the fly. I've never personally seen one on a BMW and was wondering if anyone has a recommendation. Thanks in advance
"Tune on the fly" really doesn't exist for E46's. However if you're wanting to solely monitor diagnostics in realtime with charts and graphs, buy BAFX Products 34t5 Bluetooth OBDII Scan Tool on Amazon and download the Torque Pro App. I think they have an Android and a IPhone version. Best less-than-$30 total investment I've ever made.

Forget the Torque app and get tge OBDFusion app. Then go to E46Fanatics and search for threads on OBDFusion in which jfoj has commented. He’s the guru.
If you're into hard wired gauges, then check out post 6 in the below link

There is only one thing more pleasurable than working on a Z3, that's driving it top down on a fine day.
