Hey fellas. I need some wisdom if anyone can help. Last week my 323i (E46) lost dash lights, gauges, and wouldn't idle. I finally realized it was a weak battery and replaced it. Sure enough I got the dash lights and gauges back, but now it won't start. Acts like it's out of gas, but the fuel pump is working and it's got a full tank. Checked the fuel pump fuse and it's fine. Could there be something I've gotta prime or reset when the car loses power? I'm stumped.
Nothing special needed to do when replacing the battery on your car. I just replaced mine a couple of weeks back.
Are you absolutely certain you have a good fuel pressure?
Fuell supply failure ===> Check the fuel supply
Scratched, clogged, leaking fuel line ===> clean the fuel line
bad fuel filter ===> replace the fuel filter
problem with evap = clogged venting ===> check, clean
A worse problem with injectors, bad injectors.
I'll put a gauge on it next, but I can't imagine the fuel pump and the battery dying at exactly the same time. Nobody is that unlucky...
What I'm looking for is anything fuel related that can be caused by replacing the battery.

I have had cars fuel pumps die while replacing wiper blades, it can happen any time.
