    P3242 and P0700

I have a 2004 Z4 with 90,000 miles that recently kicked the transmission in limp mode. It’s showing P3242 and P0700 as the diagnostic codes. Both are generic codes but I suspect P3242 might be the thermostat but I’m wondering if that code is putting the car limp mode. It will go out of limp mode when turned off and back on but when I put it in gear and back in park it goes back in limp mode. Has anyone experienced this?
