E46 steering angle adapter install!! Ebay/Amazon HELP PLEASE

Hey guys first post here, a huge appreciator of BMW casual and sport.

My post is about this E46 angle adapter I am in the middle of installing. I bought the little one of ebay/Amazon that is supposed to adjust the angle, weather it does or not I don't know. I have bought E36 outer tie rods (because of length) but they are different hole sizes where it connects to the 'kingpin/hub'

Do any of you guys have suggestions for me?? I'm talking like 1-2mm of spacers or just some small fitter than can help... I might just purchase the E36 ones and do a small machining to make them perfect for the E46.

Let me know if you have any suggestions or if I should just return all this and get an SLR kit or something
