Hello forum, I hope everyone is enjoying their late December festivities.
I just returned from a road trip to Las Vegas during which my thermostat failed. This is most likely due to the punishment it endured during my heater core issue or it was just a cheap-o part in the first place (MotoRad?)
Can anyone recommend a solid thermostat that is not too expensive?
Also my blower motor failed. It was making weird noises and now it does nothing and I get no lights on the controller. I just replaced the blower motor on my e34 and kept the old one.
Is it a serviceable part? Or should I just get a new one? (Car has 225k on the clock)
Thanks as always and happy New year!
Autohausaz has Behr thermostats on sale for less than $15. And a new ACM blower motor for $100, P/N: AM-64111468542 ACM ,Cross References: 0157.1015A, 01571015A,BMW 530i, 535i, 525i, 540i, 740iL, 740i, M5, 750iL, 735i, 850i & more . Probably the blower motor bearing is damaged.

Much appreciated. Wasn't sure if the Behr was a solid brand. Happy New Year!
Behr is an OEM supplier. However, they may have several lines with different quality: OEM vs after market retail channel. OEM should come in a BMW box with the BMW logo stamped into the part.
