Revshift subframe bushing installation - one piece?

I'm new to suspension work here. My forum searches didn't yield an answer to my question. My searches for "revshift" tell me that vendor support will likely not be enough.

The revshift bushings are a single piece with a metal sleeve. Other vendors use two pieces. This picture shows a few details:
    • Metal sleeve
    • The larger-diameter ends have different thicknesses
      • The 16mm-thick end has a straight recess
      • The 12mm-thick end has a 45d chamfered recess

    • The middle of the body is scored three times

How do I install these as one piece if both ends have a larger diameter than the middle?

The polyurethane doesn't appear to compress/flex enough to push through.

    My best guesses so far:
    1. Remove the sleeve to allow some compression of the bushing during installation.
    2. The 12mm-thick/45d recessed end goes down and the 16mm-thick/straight recess faces the vehicle.
    3. Lubricate generously and insert it from the top, pushing the 12mm-thick end through.
    4. Hope I don't shear off the 12mm-thick end.

I am assuming that I do NOT cut this along the scored middle to make this a two-piece bushing.

wagnerism, i think you got it right. Check youtube for some demos. Maybe call the manufacturer if you want confirmation.

It looks like a quality kit from a quality firm.

I would ask Revshift before asking the forum.

I have their bushings in all 3 of my cars. Their customer support is excellent. The subframe bushings are in two pieces just like all others I've seen. Very easy to install.

They must be 3 parts, a top, a bottom and a metal core.

I assume you don't have them yet and are just asking based of the picture ?

I have them in hand. They were mated well and appeared to be one piece. They came apart when I removed the center core metal sleeve.

The chamfered end matched with the mounting plate and the non-chamfered end matched the hex head of the chassis mount stud.

All is good. I lubed EVERYTHING and wish I had two packets instead of just the one they provided.

    Thanks for your help everyone!
