    '96 Z3 bumper guard?

I just purchased a 1996 Z3. First BMW I've owned and I've had it for 2 days, and so far I love it! The exterior is in mint condition (always garaged and well maintained) except the front bumper which has scrapes and chips because it has obviously been no stranger to curbs and slopes in driveways. Is there a bumper guard available for this model? Or some other solution to guard against the cosmetic wear and tear on that section of the car?

The solution is to not run into things. Seriously, all these cars have some damage there, caused before the driver learned what not to do.

Yeah, I'll try to not run into things... I've already bumped curbs in parking lots when parking. It'll take some getting used to. Thanks for the input!

There was a recent thread with people talking about methods they used to avoid running into things, like lining up to the car in the next space. I just plan on parking 18" back from what I'd normally do. The car is so short that it works. I usually just keep a can of matching paint handy. Down there, you don't have to do a perfect job.

I'm getting better at gauging the dimensions on this car over the past few days - it's amazing how even when I think I'm 6-8" back, I'm 1-2" over. But you're right, the car is so short, there's so much room to play with. 18" seems to be a good rule of thumb. And going to get some paint as you said...
