    Adaptive Headlights

Hi, I have an E63, one of my headlights is not working correctly. The drivers side light will go up and down , but not side to side. So far some people say it is the headlights, others say it is the module. What to do ?

    thanks

Need to check for crumbling wire shielding inside headlight first. Then check module for corrosion after that check to see if the worm gear is moving freely. All 3 of these procedures will require to remove housing.

The above user is correct - test all 3 parts. The fact that they go up and down, but no side to side - the module may be the problem.

You could pull both headlights swap modules and see what happens. There could be a fault stored for it. The most common thing I have seen is the module is water damaged because the access cover the headlight bulb is missing or did not get installed right, water gets in. The module is flat mounted on the bottom of the headlight.

Take the cover off you’ll see.
