turbo hose blow off

what would cause the turbo hose to blow off

I have a bmw x5 35d what would cause the turbo hose to blow off suddenly

Either a bad hose or too much pressure in the system, that might be caused by either by a blockage in the system or the turbo putting to much pressure in the system, not regulating it. (Boost pressure control valve etc.)

On my way to work going down the rd my truck just quit like I had turned it off. I turned it off and waited a few mins and it started and I drove
1/4 of a mile and it died it keeps doing this any ideas on this would be appreciated I'm totally lost
