E46 328i 1999 differential

Hello, i'm new on the forum (excuse me for my english speaking...)

we have a 1999 e46 328i bmw and i have a problem whith my differential (i think it's a 188K type diff).

we have purchased a Kaaz lsd that is sold to be fitted in a 328i e46 (that is what they told where we buy it) but we can't put it in because it is not exactly the same.

On the Kaaz website, it is told that this differential can fit only whith the 3.46 ratio gears but we have a 2.93 ratio in our diff.

I don't find any lsd that can fit in our diff, Do you know if it exist?????

If I remember correctly, I once had to put an LSD in a GM rear axle and I wanted to get rid of my 2.73 gears as well...I had to get an LSD in a 3-series (they go up to at least 4 if you want 4.10 or 4.56) for a 3.42. The point is that a high ratio (low number) gear ration usually involves a larger pinion gear and smaller ring gear, leaving bupkis room for an LSD center carrier. I don't know if you can even get a 2-series LSD for your rear diff...have you contacted Kaaz or VAC?
