    Gauge holder

    Hey guys!

I've been after a gauge holder that suits the e23 well. I've seen the ones that go under the ash tray area but never really liked how they sat down there. I never use the ash tray so I figured I'll use that space.

I had this made and will be test fitting it sometime next week. It is 3d printed and textured to mimic the dash material (it's not exact, but looks decent so far!)

If you guys are interested, I can have them made to order. Pricing is still being worked out due to the limited amount that would be interested.

Count me in. I recently had this same thought, but you are much more motivated than I am.

Prototype needs some refinement, but the concept is sound. Will be resizing the design and reprinting for a better fit.
He is going to get the side trim pieces made to match so it all flows well.

Here are the preliminary test fit pictures.

If you plan to remove the wood trim on either side, just make the gauge holder 1 piece with 2 or 4 holes for power windows.
That will eliminate the very obvious transitions between the pieces.

Good idea! We’ll experiment with a few different options and see which looks/fits best.

    00 MRoadster '83 745i,
I used a piece of wood and did something similar. No longer using this set up. Had the adjusting knob for the waste gate mounted top middle.
Would look nicer with matching gauges, but this worked well for me.
    Disregard all the dirt.

Just pending to order. Although now that I am considering a manual swap, not sure how it would fit. I believe LJ said, there is a difference. Nothing stops up from making a manual shifter extension too

Not sure if it will help anyone but I have this one out of the car at the moment. I could get it mocked up if I knew where to go here in New Orleans. I could also send it out as well.
