    Pinion bearings next..

    TIMKEN M86649 - Outer bearing
    TIMKEN HM89446 - Inner bearing
    TIMKEN 1992 - Pinion seal OR NATIONAL 473823 ??
    Crush sleeve - Part number 33121744368 ? Not sure

    Have doubts with Pinion seals and crush sleeve. May be i will just buy it and see how the seal / sleeve matches with existing one.

    Removed the pinion and cleaned the rear cover and all

    The deep impact 30mm socket i used with 250ftlb impact wrench. Had to grind the end to make it fit to the nut

    Outer bearing - FAG 905031 (printed on it). Once cleaned, it looks perfect. No noise or irregular surfaces

    Inner bearing (the one in pinion)- FAG KHM89449.T28?? (printed on it). Once cleaned, it looks perfect. No noise or irregular surfaces

    Pinion seal - number 1 214 141 is printed on it. 1 214 142 is printed on the carrier bearing seals.

    Just bought the following..

    Pinion bearings - Timken M86649 and HM89446
    Mount - 33171090950

    Pinion crush collar - 33121744368
    Pinion seal - 31507609535
    Carrier bearing seals - 33107505602 X 2
    Outer cover gasket - 33111210405
    2 QT 75W90 LM 2048 Liqui Moly

    Now need to buy
    - Gear marker paint
    - Dial indicator
    - Needle Torque wrench
    - Gasket marker

    More to follow once i receive them
